For lack of better title... suggestions?
My 2 1/2 ever watercolour... :D The actual 2nd is still in the works, XD I am very, very happy with this. I'm sure that you can tell I have gotten a lot more confident since my first watercolour, ever.
Dude, watercolours are so much fun... it's really, really satisfying for me working with real/traditional media. Until I get a tablet, I think that there won't be as much digital artwork from me, (but, of course, I come with my surprises ;))

I am thinking I will give this to my best friend for her birthday in December; as she had suggested this, and I simply exploded with more creativity than was planned for this (the original being a doodle she wanted me to finish)... plus the two subjects are our characters... :3 I just hope she doesn't wander onto this accidentally... HUH, LAUREN?! XD -pokepokepokeprodshoves-

Overall, I haven't had this much fun painting/drawing something in such a long time. Like I said, I feel like I'm on to bigger and better things with all of these changes that have happened lately... (the theft, etc.)

A4, watercolours, and the most miniscule amount of acrylics imaginable... :o (Moon's profile is the trickiest thing when drawing that small. :o)

Advanced Critique, even though I am no longer working on this piece, I still would like to hear what the critics have got to say.

This so, so beautiful. The details on the snow piled on the bushes and the lighting from the fire... I really love this. wonderful work!

You're so lucky to be able to do goregous scenery like this. If I try to draw a tree, I end up with a sick antleope. x.X;

What to mention first... @_@

What really caught my eye about this intially was the great contrast between the yellow lights and deep blue-greens. Not only is the combination aesthetically pleasing, it's thematically interesting, too. Here's a small clearing in a cold, desolate nighttime forest, illuminated only by the stars, a fire, and the companionship of two relaxing figures. And let's not forget the very fine way in which the texture of the heavy paper shows through in places, lending an extra-authentic and emotive look to the scene.

Lovely, lovely stuff indeed. :D

Well, it all comes from observing what is in RL, practicing to draw what you see, and you get the hang of it... just keep on drawing. :)
